A South African living in Denmark talks life during lockdown

Ever wondered what others in other countries are doing during the lockdown? South African Van Zyl Spies who is currently living in Denmark shared more.

According to The Washington Post, Denmark and Austria on Monday became the first European countries to announce concrete plans to reopen their societies after coronavirus lockdowns, hoping they may have already weathered the worst of the first wave of the pandemic.

South Africans are currently midway through our national lockdown - and the Scenic Drive was wondering how other countries are dealing with their lockdown. 

Van Zyl Spies, who is a South African, living in Denmark, joined the Scenic Drive telephonically, to share more about what they can do during their lockdown.

"We can still go out for a jog. We can also go buy food at restaurants - but you can't sit and eat," Spies.

Rian van Heerden told Spies that South Africans are not allowed to buy alcohol and cigarettes. 

"We can still do a lot of things - but we can't be more than ten people together. We must keep social distancing."
