Wendy Williams tests positive for COVID-19

Media mogul Wendy Williams, 57, has battled multiple health issues in the past that have caused her to take breaks from her talk show.

On Thursday 9 September, the news was announced that the talk show host, Wendy Williams, is experiencing health issues again.

According to a statement on the 'The Wendy Williams Show' Instagram page, Williams has cancelled upcoming events because of illness, but she is expected to host the new season of her talk show.

"Wendy is dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations," the statement read. "She will not be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can't wait to be back in her purple chair on Monday, September 20th for the 13th season premiere."

Williams has battled multiple health issues in the past.

In 2020, she was forced to take time off from her talk show due to complications from Graves' Disease. 

A week later, the news was announced that Williams has tested positive for COVID-19. 

"To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production abides by all protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of 'The Wendy Williams Show' on Monday, October 4th."
