Remember when palm-sized phones were the most popular device on the market?
These days, most phones are shiny rectangles with wide screens. All the better to take social media photos with, right?
Shazad Talib, an inventor from China, is going in the opposite direction. He has created the Zanco Tiny T1, the world's smallest cellphone.

It can send and receive messages as well as make phone calls. The screen is only a few centimeters wide, and the phone itself would disappear completely if it was dropped into a shirt pocket.

Yes, it works - and it could soon be available for purchase.
While the novelty of the phone means that it could be a bestseller, not everyone is excited about the Zanco Tiny T1. Justice Secretary David Lidington called for sales of the phone to be banned, as he believes it could end up being smuggled into jail for prisoners to use.
