Chris Gayle fined over propositioning female sportscaster on live TV

West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has found himself in hot water over what he thought was a light exchange between him and Australian female sports journalist Mel McLaughlin.

The BBC reports that internationally celebrated West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has been fined A$10,000 (about R112 000) by his club for "inappropriate conduct" following a Monday exchange with a female sports caster which went viral.
WATCH: Chris Gayle propositioning Australian female sports journalist, Mel McLaughlin - something to which McLaughlin said was "a little disappointing because I'm not used to seeing that".
WATCH: Gayle responding saying 'there wasn't meant to be any harm done, it was a simple joke' when apologising to McLaughlin.
