Hijacking ends badly for hijacker when he gets hit by a car
A CICA Crime Intel video showing a hijacker being hit by a car on a highway has gone viral.
A video of a group of hijackers approaching the highway in an attempt to hijack cars turns ugly when the driver of one of the cars they were hoping to hijack decided not to stop. Instead he ran one of them over. It is not clear if the guy who was run over survived.
The video has caused a stir on social media, with many saying the hijackers got what they deserved.
Hijacking is a serious problem in South Africa. In 2015, crime statistics revealed that there has been a drastic increase in hijacking. According to eNCA, carjacking and truck hijacking had both increased dramatically by 14.2 percent and 29.1 percent respectively.
