Hippo scares off elephants in Kruger National Park
They are powerful, and they are dangerous, but what happens when the two come into contact with one other?
They may be some the biggest animals on earth, but elephants and hippos are not the best of friends. In a video posted on YouTube by Best of Africa, a herd of elephants get the fright of their life when they notice they stepped into a hippo’s territory.
As the elephants were drinking and bathing at Singita, Kruger National Park they didn’t realise that there was a hippo hiding in the water. When the hippo finally decides to make his presence felt, the elephants can be seen moving off - as far away from the hippo as possible.
They reportedly ended about 50m from the pan.
