Police officer fines man for warming up car in own driveway
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Are you one of those people who likes to leave your car unattended while you warm it up? Well, it seems it’s not a good idea even if done in your own driveway, unless of course you don’t mind paying a traffic fine.
A young man by the name of Nick Taylor took to Facebook to vent out his frustration after he was shocked to find a traffic fine left on his car after he left it on his driveway to warm up.
"Let's all take a moment to thank officer dipshit K. Keary for wasting the taxpayer's money and giving me a ticket for warming up my car in my own damn driveway," Taylor wrote on Facebook.
Taylor was charged $128 (about R1,700) for the offence. The post soon went viral, with over 14,000 shares and 5,000 comments.
According to MSN, Roseville Police Chief James Berlin said "this is purely a public safety issue".
