15 000 fans have a ball at BP Jacaranda Day
25 May 2015 – Thousands of Jacaranda FM fans brought their families, friends, picnic blankets and selfie sticks to enjoy a day in the sun to see Die Heuwels Fantasties, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Elvis Blue, Lloyd Cele, Juanita du Plessis, Theuns Jordaan, Dewald Wasserfall and Kurt Darren.
Many of the Jacaranda FM on-air talent also took to the stage with surprises including Frankie Du Toit and Rozanne Mckenzie joining Kurt Darren for a dance-off on stage, the winner of Martin Bester’s Magic Mike competition showing off his newly acquired dance moves and Barney Simon launching his new “Rock On” music app. Cassy and Kriya also managed to fit over 15 000 people into an awesome selfie with Lloyd Cele.

Other highlights of the day included giving away a funky new VW Up filled with all the prizes collected throughout the Gumtree #SecretStash on-air competition, as well as 2 lucky winners finding out that they will be heading off on a luxury cruise in 2016 for an unforgettable trip to the Portuguese Islands off Mozambique.

BP Jacaranda Day took over social media and trended at the number one spot on Twitter as well, with fans tweeting videos and pictures throughout the day and the queue for autographs and photos with the musicians lasted well into the night, making BP Jacaranda Day a truly never-to-be-forgotten experience for all.
