Indiana 'MalJan' Jones Busts Centuries Old Pretoria Myth
Updated | By The Complimentary Breakfast
What do you get when you take MalJan, dress him up in a famous film characters outfit and give him a myth to bust that's over a century old? Well, Indiana 'MalJan' Jones of course! Yip, we sent our myth buster out to find out if there really is a helmet on the top of the female statue that is situated at the top of the 'Ou Raadsaal' in central Pretoria.

Last week Rian spoke to MalJan about the statue that is above the “Ou Raadsaal” in Pretoria Square. The myth is that apparently former President Paul Kruger saw the statue of the woman standing in the sun and then gave the instruction for her to get a hat/helmet of some sorts.
MalJan was sent to try and bust this myth and to see if it's true. Of course, knowing MalJan, he would give it his all, even if it means dressing up.
Ladies and gentleman, we give you Indiana 'MalJan' Jones.
Our very own, Indiana 'MalJan' Jones has his task set out for him. Dressed for the mission, MalJan, made his way to the 'Ou Raadsaal' in central Pretoria. On a quest to get to the top of the high building, he in the meantime, sent us a few images.
After a dramatic attempt to solve the myth, we finally have the evidence we needed. It is clear that the female statue does have a helmet that has been pop riveted onto the head of the statue. Well done, MalJan!
What you think, was the helmet added at a later stage or was it part of the statue from the beginning? Vote below:
Watch below as MalJan attempts to solve this myth. You would never expect him to solve it this way...
