Small Business Development Minister Zulu on how being called 'Ginger' irks her

Minister Lindiwe Zulu is more often referred to her for her feisty character in the media and by fellow Parliamentarians - and less frequently for the fact that she heads up a crucial administration: the Department of Small Business Development. She caught up with The Complimentary Breakfast's Rian Van Heerden on her work, our President, why she learnt to speak Russian and more.

Small Business Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu has a lot to say about why she was not impressed when EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi once called her "Ginger" in a sitting in the National Assembly.

The Minister payed The Complimentary Breakfast an extensive in-studio visit discussing everything from why President Jacob Zuma is here to stay and even going into how there are reasons beyond what is apparent behind the sacking of former Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene

On addressing South Africa’s challenges around corruption: “Governance - 22 years of trying to govern something that was so completely split, 9 different Bantustans bringing them to one Department of Education and all, bringing them into one - you will find the situation where there will be those that want to do the right thing, but there will be those that think ‘yeah, maybe I should do a quick thing here.”
