Mitchell's Plain scholars robbed at gunpoint on way home from school
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
Children who walk home from school have become easy targets for drive-by robberies.

Two teens were robbed of their cellphones while walking home from school recently.
The robbers first drove past the two scholars and then turned around. The vehicle then stopped alongside the two boys and one man proceeded to get out of the vehicle and point a gun at one of the boys, asking for his cellphone.
The helpless boy passed his cellphone to the robber and the other threw his hands in the air, showing that he had no cellphone. The incident happened in seconds and the two boys just carried on walking home after the robbery took place.
A note to keep in mind is that one should never walk with their cellphone in their hand. This makes you an easy target. Constantly be on the lookout and aware of your surroundings.
