Plane narrowly escapes blazing fires at Plettenberg Bay Airport
A blazing fire is definitely not want you want rushing towards you in the background upon take off!
Many South Africans have been through large amounts of trauma over the last week.
Fires have been burning everything in its path. Many have been displaced after their homes have been burnt, along with some losing their lives in the fire.
A video was posted to Duran de Villiers Facebook account showing dramatic footage of a small aircraft trying to take off with the blazing fires approaching. In the video one can see the fire fast approaching, as the wind blows the flames towards the aircraft at Plettenberg Bay Airport.
The plane finally manages to take off, leaving the flames behind.
