BACKGROUND: Bobby and Karlien van Jaarsveld are extremely popular and well known for the music, songs and performances. They have been great supporters of Good Morning Angels over the years, always willing to give of their time and talent to support our efforts. This was again the case at our Good Morning Angels Decade of Caring Celebration in April - when both were willing as always - to put their talent to work, to help us raise funds.

As parents themselves, these successful siblings are also passionate about helping their community - especially children. They have teamed up to put this passion to practice and from this collaboration was born the Pikanini Day Care facility in Benoni.

They spent the Workers Day holiday on Monday with volunteers building, painting and kitting out the facility that was formally opened yesterday.

This Day Care Facility will now benefit children from poverty stricken homes with care and food, but also early childhood development.

The Pikanini Day Care program is one of the projects initiated by the Hanna Charity and Empowerment Fund - who will be hands-on in the day-to-day running of the facility.

The Van Jaarsveld’s will fund the running costs of the project.
