#ProjectWaterDrop: An Overwhelming Morning!

#ProjectWaterDrop is off to an incredible start! Earlier this morning we had an overwhelming response from our listeners, who could not wait to jump on board and get involved with our initiative.

Earlier in the week we spoke to NC Schoombee from B.I.N (Boere In Nood) and Caroline van Saasen from Water Shortage SA. Both of them are coordinating relief efforts to help people who are badly affected by the drought. We partnered with our friends from 'Water Shortage South Africa and the issue was highlighted that the transportation of the water is a huge problem.

We will be resolving this problem with providing a convoy of trucks to disseminate the water.

Today we launched #ProjectWaterDrop, an initiative to transport and donate water to Lichtenburg in North West - an area that has been severely affected by the recent drought. At the moment the situation is so dire that people are fighting about water in parts of SA. We are doing a call out to all of you, our listeners.

Water has already started to coming in, the response has been incredible. By 08:30 am this morning we had already received over 100 000 liters of water.
