#ProjectWaterDrop: thank you to everyone!
Updated | By The Complimentary Breakfast
Wednesday saw The Complimentary Breakfast embarking on one of our biggest initiatives - ever! #ProjectWaterDrop traveled to a few drought-stricken towns and areas of the North West. With a convoy of 37 trucks and over 1,3 million litres of water, we were set to transport and deliver the water to those severely affected by the recent drought.
About a week ago we set our hearts and minds to one project - #ProjectWaterDrop. It was a mammoth task that needed the help and support of many, including our listeners. We took to air to ask our listeners for help of donating water and dropping it off at our studios.
The water flooded in and before we knew it, our studios in Midrand were filled with bottles and containers of water.
Over 1, 5 million litres of water was gathered for the harshly affected areas in the North West. Areas such as Sannieshof, Delareyville, Vryburg, Mahikeng, Setlagole, Tosca, Pomfret, Swartruggens and Lichtenburg were recipients of the water. Not only did our incredible listeners come to the party, but a few incredible companies and individuals as well.
The list is endless and we cannot say thank you enough. A HUGE thank you goes out to:
