Rian invites Ndumiso Ngcobo to join him for dinner
Updated | By Bronwyn Hardick

Rian van Heerden from The Complimentary Breakfast stumbled upon a study wherein Dutch and Canadian scientists found that people are generally friendlier and more willing to make compromises at the dining table - in a nutshell, if there is a need to have a difficult conversation, best to do it over dinner.
With that train of thought came the idea that conversation is lacking in South Africa and in order to understand one another in a better light, we as a nation need to talk.
The Complimentary Breakfast has put out a challenge encouraging every South African from all walks of life to take part in this nation-wide dinner on 29 May where you are required to do only two things: Invite somebody from a different cultural group over for dinner, and Talk. So far some impressive people have given their names to the RSVP list.
Rian formally invited one of the country's sharpest satirists, Sunday Times columnist and author of Eat, Drink and Blame the Ancestors Ndumiso Ngcobo to be his guest. Will he accept the invitation?
