Tank Man vs. Chinese tank in Tiananmen square

In 1989 a man was recorded near Tiananmen Square, where he was seen stopping a Chinese tank. The incident too place during the morning after the Chinese military had suppressed the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 by force.
A man known as Tank Man, stood in front of a column of tanks in 1989 and in doing so became one of the most powerful protesters of the 20th century.
Not only did he block their path by standing in the middle of the road while the engines were running.
He then went onto mounting one of the tanks and proceeded to bang on the hatchet.
