TCB Super Kids: Danielle saves her mom's life
Updated | By Bronwyn Hardick
The Complimentary Breakfast is searching for SA’s Super Kids: children who have gone beyond the call of duty to help their fellow man, animals or nature.
Young Danielle was 7 years old when she saved her mom, Chantelle’s life. After having picked Danielle up from school and telling her that mommy didn’t feel well, Danielle sat on the front seat next to her mom, unaware of what was about to happen next...
At that point in time Chantelle was on new Insulin as she is diabetic. Chantelle slipped into a coma and that’s when young Danielle sprang into action. She tested her mom’s sugar, which was very low, and without thinking twice, grabbed the glucose injection, mixed it and gave her mom the lifesaving shot.
After that Danielle proceeded to smear peanut butter, which she was allergic to at the time, on her mom’s mouth because she knew that the protein would stabilize the sugar.
After ensuring that her mom was out of danger, she called for help.
This is what Danielle is a true TCB Super Kid!
