TCB Super Kids: Doctors praise Aiden for saving his moms life

The Complimentary Breakfast rewards 5-year old Aiden Winterbach for being a Super Kid after hearing about how he sprang into action when his mom passed out due to a brain aneurysm. After receiving medical attention, doctors praise Aiden because his quick thinking saved her life.

The Complimentary Breakfast is searching for SA’s Super Kids: children who have gone beyond the call of duty to help their fellow man, animals or nature.

Last year young Aiden’s mom Louise fell ill due to a brain aneurysm. While they were at home she passed out. Originally Aiden thought she was sleeping, but after realising something was wrong, he tried to wake his mommy up.

At the tender age of four, he attempted to help her to her feet and escorted her to the bathroom when he realised that she was not well. After ensuring that his mom was as safe as could be under the circumstances, he ran to get the phone and urged his mom to call for help. In the meantime, he proceeded to feed her sugar water and cold water to help her stay awake.

Thankfully the family responded and came to relieve Aiden of caring for Louise by getting her the medical attention she desperately needed. A week later the doctors confirmed that little Aiden’s actions saved his moms life.

When asked how he knew what to do, he candidly responds: “I can think, I have a brain.”

Spoken like a true Super Kid.
