BACKGROUND: Regina Jonga is a 38-years old domestic worker in Pretoria. She was born and raised in Zimbabwe, but left the country after a difficult divorce. She struggled to find employment in her native land and decided to cross the border to South Africa to provide for her mother and children in Zimbabwe. She lives on a shoe string budget in a room in Mamelodi.
Regina is however no ordinary woman. She is a super woman who trains herself as a body builder. Under harsh conditions in a make shift gym, Regina is at times malnourished. She does not follow a body builder’s diet or use any supplements. On her own, Regina has reached such a supreme physical condition. She recently entered the Arnold Classic where she was placed 6th. This, according to those in the know, is unheard of for a person with her means and help.
Regina believes she can make a better life for her family through body building … and she would love to train others to do the same.
She just needs a little help …
Regina works as a domestic worker to a family in Pretoria.
Thank you so much to our incredible sponsors who have made a huge difference to Regina's life!
