On this day, 22 years ago Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as
South Africa’s first black president. Carla chats to Miss SA 2016 and Sello Hatang
This follows the demise of Apartheid and the country’s first democratic elections.
Madiba spent 27 years in prison, 18 of them at Robben Island.
Carla Mackenzie spoke to the Nelson Mandela Foundation CEO Sello Hatang as we look back at the dawn of our democracy.
Hatang says South Africans should strive to always remember the legacy of the late former president.
Miss SA 2016 Ntando Kunene says there are many things our generation can learn from Mandela’s legacy.
