SA places uncomfortable highly on 'The Ignorance Index'
This is a list of the most ignorant countries in the world, and you're going to wish you didn't read it.
The saying goes 'Ignorance is bliss'... but only to those taking advantage of your ignorance.
A list of the most ignorant countries in the world has been released and it is based on the knowledge people have of their home country.
After interviewing 27 250 people between the ages of 16 and 64 from 40 different countries, last year September to November, 'The Index of Ignorance' sheds an uncomfortable light on us.
Participants were questioned on matters such as their country's population, home ownership and health care spending.
The Index of Ignorance (from most to least ignorant):
