A human toe has gone missing at a hotel in Canada
Updated | By Lethu Ndimande
Someone has stolen a human toe from a hotel in Canada. Yip, a toe...
The Downtown Hotel in Dawson City, Canada has launched a manhunt for the person who stole a toe that is used to make the signature cocktail at the hotel, the Sourtoe Cocktail.
The hotel has become a popular tourist spot where people from around the world come to try the strange drink, which is basically whisky mixed with a dehydrated toe. The golden rule that comes with this drink is that your lips have to touch the toe when you're drinking it.
The hotel's 'Toe Captain', Terry Lee, says she was livid when she realised that the toe had gone missing. She suspects a Quebec man of being the thief as he had been bragging about potentially stealing the toe earlier that evening.
A reward has been made available to anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of the toe. The person responsible for the theft will be nailed with a fine of $2,500 (R35,000)!
