'Fake Police' botched hijacking incident caught on tape
Updated | By Michael Savage

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said four or five men attempted to hijack A black BMW 5 at the corner of Rubenstein and Helois roads around 08:00 this morning.
The hijackers, wearing what looks like police bullet proof vests and high visibililty jackets, tried to force the driver of the BMW X5, a male, into their white BMW 1 series.
A woman filming the incident on her phone from a seperate vehicle a few hundred yards from where the incident was taking place can be heard calling the police, as the woman from the BMW X5 (apparently the passenger) runs toward them for help.
The would be hijackers are seen driving away without the BMW X5 when the two victims escape from their grasp.
It was later reported that police issue bulletproof vests, reflector jackets, a blue light and two R5 rifles were recovered in Thembisa in an abandoned vehicle.
No one was injured in this incident, but the victims were treated for shock.
