If #Twitter10K happens, would you still be 'tweeting'?

The conciseness and speed of Twitter is what has drawn numerous users to the social media platform. Now Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey says he wants to increase the character limit from 140 to 10 000 - would you consider that a 'tweet' then?

Some left Facebook altogether for the convenience of speed, conciseness and to move away from being bombared with pictures of peoples' everyday lives.


Now Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey may well have thrown a spanner into the works in the middle of all the 'Twars', the 'Tweeple', the 'Twoogle' sessions and the people of the 'Twinternet'.


Look at it rather logically - the word 'tweet' not only (now) denotes what one does on the platform, but is an indication of a call made by a small bird. Nothing loud. Nothing intrusive. But a call that can be heard. It isn't a 'hoot' or a 'squawk' like one might have associated with an eagle or so: concise, but impactful, since it can be heard.
