Life with a laugh track
MBD decided to do a little experiment - to find out how similar our every-day lives are to real soap opera's by adding a little bit of a laugh track.
This method has been used on television for decades - to help turn a very average conversation into something worth watching!
To illustrate what we mean, take a well known sitcom today like Big Bang Theory, and take out the laugh track, and see what happens!
It's crazy how... normal it now seems, right?
So we took 4 every day occurences here in SA that we usually take as granted, and added our own laugh track!
See what happens when you take a somewhat embarrasing doctor's visit and add a few well-placed giggles -
Or perhaps listening to president Jacob Zuma trying to explain Nkandla spending to Parliament...
Something that everyone has heard in the news lately - the E.F.F causing trouble in parliament recently also becomes far more entertaining with a laugh track.
And something that most people would not consider laughable at all - the current power crisis with Eskom! We decided to take a news bulletin from Vissie and turn it into a comedy piece as simply as the sitcoms do!
