MBD MIFF Busters: the claim that women hunt in packs for men - true or false?

There have been reports in various social circles (ahem, we won't say where!) that women are increasingly not only seeking out men for dating, but actually approaching them as a group. Yes, women are said 'to hunt in packs' for men now. Would you say that the tables truly turned in 2016?
Women taking a proactive approach to dating by going up to men to ask them out has been a thing for some years now.
Some put it down as a feature of ‘women’s lib’ - the increased power and independence of women in modern day life.
Would you say that women are increasingly ‘hunting in packs’?
