WATCH: Cyclists chased down by rogue Ostrich in Cape Town
An ostrich appeared out of nowhere to chase two cyclists down the road in Cape Town - watch how they had to just keep cycling to get away. This video is quickly gaining online popularity as it seems the ostrich is quite the internet sensation.
Eventhough this must have been quite frightening at the time, we cant help but share a little giggle while watching this.
According to Oleksiy Mishchenko, who posted the video on YouTube, he visited South Africa with a few friends to take part in the annual Cape Town Cycle Tour. Mishchenko commented and said:
"On Friday, to stretch out the legs, we went on a pre-race ride to the Cape of Good Hope. The road by the ocean side was quiet and deserted.
"Suddenly I spotted a white ostrich on my left. Then this beast jumped on the road from the right and started chasing my friends! It was a little scary at first," Mishchenko described the situation.
Well, ostrich or no ostrich, whatever comes jumping out of the bush, we will run or in this case, pedal - FAST!
