'Grease' prequel movie currently in the pipeline
More than 40 years after 'Grease' was first released, the creators of this fan-favourite announced that we will soon be getting more musical madness.
In 1978, the world got to know bad boy Danny Zuko and the lovable Sandy Olson. Decades later and this hit movie-musical is still a favourite among young and old - to such an extent that it's safe to assume that every wedding or Matric Ball will play one of the songs from Grease.
It seems fans of this cult-hit can expect more Grease Lighting in the form of a prequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount is currently developing a Grease prequel titled, 'Summer Loving'. This movie will give more backstory on the two main characters, Danny and Sandy, originally played by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
The studio has tapped John August, the legendary writer behind such films as Big Fish and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to write the script.
