Should email signatures be fun and quirky or stock standard?

Should email signatures be fun and quirky or stock standard?

Let's be honest, there's always that one person who brings the vibe at the office.

There's always that one special colleague who manages to make your day with some quirk in their email.

For one advertising and marketing agency, it was about revealing the employee who had the best email signatures.

The agency asked one of their employees who should win, and she immediately called out one of her colleagues named Amena.

Adding a personal touch to your email signature is fun but shouldn't be applied to all types of businesses. Well, that's our opinion, anyway.

Amena happens to be the agency's media planner and always ends her emails with some wisdom or humour.

She says things like, "Serve, Swag, Slay", "Do less", and "Wishing you the strength of a toddler".

Now, that surely gets people talking, not to mention smiling. As much as she can please her peers simply and effectively, what's more important is to respect the company's processes and procedures.

This was super fun to watch, but as you might imagine, this practice can be frowned upon professionally.

Be aware of your company's SOPs and practice them accordingly.
