Someone got a warning after this Vogue social media blunder

If this TikToker didn't share this on social media, we're not sure if anyone else would've noticed.

The thing with social media is that it can be used for good and it can also go wrong. Especially for big brands.

There are trolls and social media influencers who watch and wait like hawks for brands to make a mistake so that they can share it online and go viral.

One person who says she came across something innocently on Instagram decided to share her epic (fail) discovery on TikTok

She shared a screenshot of the recent end-of-an-era post from British Vogue on Instagram

The cover features many greats including Oprah Winfrey, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Miley Cyrus, and Victoria Beckham. The issue is dedicated to Editor Edward Enninful and commemorates his six and half years spent at British Vogue

The cover features 40 legendary women and is a tribute to Enninful's work. But wait, there was a big boo-boo on the social media post on Instagram.

The TikToker wanted to see Edward Enninful's Instagram page and so, she clicked on his name, which was tagged on the post made by British Vogue.

But the profile did not match the elusive Editor, but rather another man who was certainly not the Editor at British Vogue.

@omgitsbiancaaa Honestly can we just tag British Vogue and let their intern get a raise bc wtf 😭😭😭😭 Edward Enninful u made my day shoutout to u 💗😭😭😭😭 @British Vogue @edwardenninful @斉藤正行/全国介護事業者連盟理事長 @Vogue @Vogue France @Vogue España @FASHION TO MAX #vogue #britishvogue #cover #epicfail #failvideo #edwardenninful #failoftheday ♬ Make You Mine - Madison Beer

Of course, it was super embarrassing for Enninful, who apparently was the one that noticed they had incorrectly tagged the person.

The mistake has since been fixed without that much fire caused online, but it is a mistake that could've gotten someone fired. We're not sure if someone did get fired, but it we feel for them.

Moral of the story, make sure to check you have the correct person tagged before publishing/posting your content as a social media guru.
