WATCH: Man tries to mount a cow and instantly gets punished
This is what happens when you mess with mother nature...
They say let sleeping dogs lie, or in this case, let sleeping cows lie.
A man on social media got exactly what was coming to him after attempting to sneak up on a resting cow and leap onto its back, rodeo-style.
In a video shared by South Afri World on social media the young man tiptoes toward the unsuspecting animal then suddenly jumps on the cow's back in a reckless prank.
Naturally, the cow, startled by the ambush, jumps to his feet and flings the would-be cowboy over a nearby fence with impressive force.

Laughter can be heard from the person recording the prank, but the young man appears to be hurt on the other side of the fence - proving once again not not all pranks are worth the pain.
While this so-called stunt may have been meant for laughs, it serves as a reminder that animals are not props and sometimes the joke ends up on you.
This could end up on the account, 'Dumb Ways to Die'.
