Who has first dibs over the front seat when you in a relationship - your mother or your girl?
We are not short on stories when it comes to mothers-in-law and their sons' partners. For some reason or the other there always seems to be some friction between the two.
Not always, but sometimes. And when it happens, it can be truly explosive. Because it's like that saying, you cannot have two queens in one household.
In this case, the question that came up was whose place is the front seat, mom or the girlfriend/wife?
Traditionally, it depends on what kind of relationship exists between the two. Out of respect, many wives or girlfriends let the moms sit in front.
But it depends on the dynamics because sometimes mothers can be pretty feisty and territorial about these things.
In this case, a girlfriend shows her dissatisfaction with her boyfriend's mother who is seated in the front seat. She clearly believes that place is hers and openly expresses that with them.
Things get awkward when the son tries to rationalise his mom sitting in the front and mom gets upset with his reasoning.
In all honesty, it is a tricky situation to be in, in the middle of trying to please your mother and your future.
The son tries his best, but mom wins the battle inevitably.
