A Cape Town street vendor who came forward to claim his lottery winnings of R86.9-million now says he can relax.
Those stories of lottery winners really get us in our feels. Especially when it's those stories that tug at your heart strings.
This story about a Cape Town street vendor really did that for us.
The man who had been dreaming of winning the lotto his whole life finally had his dream come true.
The man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, is now a multi-millionaire, winning a staggering R86,938,426.64 in the National Lottery.
He told EWN: "We prayed and thanked the Lord. Only my wife and children know that we have won."
Somehow makes us believe in dreams coming true more when someone who has been earning an honest living gets all their heart's desires answered.
Most of the time people are keen to know if winners have a secret winning formula or routine they commit to.
In this case, he shared that it was a coupling of gut instinct, playing the lottery twice a month, and mixing up his numbers each time he played.
It so happens this time he only played the lotto and not the other games...
Guess his gut was on the money!
"When asked what he would do with the money, the man said he will build a house for his family." (EWN)
All that hoo-ha about following your gut instincts can sometimes be all the luck you need...
Remain grateful and committed and you never know, your dreams may come true too.
