It can be challenging to actually allow our kids to help with the festive preparations.

Mostly because even though we are meant to be enjoying each other's company, we are so used to rushing that it becomes a rat race prepping for Christmas.

Hosting can be strenuous, and you don't want to mess things up, especially when the whole family is relying on you for their Christmas meal.

But the benefits of actually getting the kids involved can be three-fold (if not more).

For one, you get to bond with them, and after a long and tiring year, this is the time for that. Making time to enjoy our kids is so important, considering they grow up so quickly.

Secondly, experts have shared that the benefits of involving the kids in meal preparation is great for their development.

And thirdly, the most valued one for us (just kidding) is that you get help to finish the preparations.

You know the saying, many hands make light work.

All in all, it is a winner for everyone. Happy holidays everyone, stay safe.
