It seems like being 'spicy' is something of a stock standard characteristic of kids these days.
The fact that they are spicy with us is quite entertaining, but can be harsh at times.
As the saying goes, the truth hurts.
One kid that really shocked us with his ability to speak his truth was the son of a popular TikToker, citygirlgonemom.
In a video she captured, she is seen telling him how delicious something they were eating was, and calls him 'Babe'.
He completely takes on an adult spirit and tells her that he is not her husband, so she shouldn't call him 'Babe'.

His reaction left many people laughing.
But more than that, we thought his ability to make the connection that her calling him 'Babe' wasn't acceptable really surprised us.
Kids standing up for themselves in this way is certainly something we can get behind. It shows that they can decipher for themselves what's appropriate and what's not.
