We are always excited to see videos showing our President's softer, more jovial side. One little girl managed to bring smiles to the faces of thousands by getting President Cyril Ramaphosa to make a funny face.

She will go down in history for making the President of South Africa show off a playful side that spreads joy and delight amongst our nation.

We briefly saw this side of our President when he took pics with children earlier this month at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre in Cape Town. He went viral for helping a young girl by tying her shoelaces.

In the most recent video shared by the head of digital communications in the Presidency, Athi Geleba, we see Ramaphosa greeting a family at the airport.

A young girl caught his attention, whom he picked up and carried. The girl was polite and greeted him with a smile.

Then, as soon as she noticed she was being recorded, the girl went into character and pulled out her playfulness. She gestured, stuck her tongue out and posed for the camera.

Ramaphosa matched the little girl's energy and copy her pose. He, too, stuck his tongue out and made the hand gesture, posing happily for the cameras.

It was heartwarming to see the interaction, which left many people smiling. There's something special in witnessing our President, responsible for many serious things, share a lighthearted, simple side of himself with the public.

The little girl's mother commented on the post, "I can’t believe my daughter stole the nation's Mr. President. It was truly a pleasure meeting you! You are so humble and down to earth! This is who I call my president. My daughter doesn’t usually just let anyone carry her, so I was so emotional when she felt comfortable in his heart."

As we end Youth Month, videos such as these leave us hopeful for a better and brighter tomorrow.
