There's something special about turning 21 - and many cultures tend to make a big deal of it.
A rite of passage almost, when your child has reached a sense of maturity.
For this young woman, who goes by the name Holly Rogers on TikTok, it was a milestone moment.
She posted a video of her 21st birthday and how it started... and then ended in trauma.
The video shows her having fun with her friends at a jump park, similar to a bounce park with bouncy balls and obstacle courses.
But what started off as fun, turned dark fast when she shows a clip of herself falling and injuring herself. She ended up in hospital for three weeks - paralysed...
Don't fret, it seems there is a positive ending.
