This one-year-old communicates perfectly when it comes to random items he sees.
It's only natural for parents to have expectations when it comes to their child's development.
But the truth is that each child, just as each parent, is different. Applying a stock standard approach to parenting and child development is nearly impossible.
Every situation is different, and we must remain aware of that.
We spoke briefly about this a while back when a one-year-old was videoed saying words or making sounds referring to images he was shown.
This child displayed such great recognition when it came to images he was shown.
Whether it was saying the word closest to the pronunciation he was capable of, or just making the sound associated with the image, we were super impressed.
Luckily for us, his mom shared part two of his first video, 'What these things are called according to a one-year-old.'
