If ever you have worked in retail you will know how rude people can be. Sometimes a simple "Good day" could get you the death stare!

Austin Simms, owner of the CUPS coffee shop in Roanoke, Virginia, has come up with a pretty ingenious method to remind us all to have manners.

“I decided because I need to solve all the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter,” Simms told WDBJ.

He went on to add: “I decided to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter."

And according to Simms, it's working, with people being reminded that coffee shop workers are just doing their job.

Have good manners gone out of style? Do you find yourself surprised when you see someone using proper etiquette and good manners?
