It is widely known that cows are sacred to the Hindu people, but how far do they go to uphold this belief?
Hindu people all over the world celebrated Diwali (also known as the "Festival of Lights") over the past two weeks.
Now, a video that shows the rituals that take place after Diwali has emerged.

This particular celebration is called Ekadeshi, and takes place in central India. It involves men lying on the ground and allowing a herd of cows to run over them, because they believe this is how the animals will bring them good luck.

Watch the fascinating video below:
As expected, many men are injured during this ritual. But according to the New York Post, they believe that their luck increases while each of the injuries heal.
