Diver's encounter with wild seal is terrifyingly beautiful
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
This may be beautiful, but this diver is extremely brave.
This is one encounter most would love to have. As for others, they might just swim away very fast.
Blogger and adventurer Lizzie Carr was snorkeling off the south-west coast of England in the Isle of Scilly with a group of friends when she captured the amazing moment a curious seal swam up to greet them.
The seal swam up to the group and found one man's snorkeling gear very interesting. The seal can be seen sniffing and swimming around the diver and even used its teeth to investigate the man's head.
"Don't worry - he's being friendly," she wrote. "Seals use their whiskers and mouths to judge size, shape and textures."
Seals are known to not only be very inquisitive, but highly unpredictable as well. Thankfully, this was only a playful encounter and no one was injured.
