Kathleen Zuidema does not have much time to live, and like any good parent, she is more concerned about the well being of her three beautiful dogs.

Zuidema has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

In a touching post she put on Facebook, Zuidema is not only looking for someone to adopt her dogs, but she asked for them not to be separated.

"This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My heart is breaking and I'm sobbing as I write this. As alot of you know I have been fighting cancer for about a year and a half and things are now progressing to the point where I need to secure a home for the posse," she wrote.

"It is a huge thing to ask of one person but the thought of them being separated is more than l can bear.

"They have always been together."

The dogs are aged eleven, four and a half, and four.

The post has been shared over 30,000 times and Zuidema has even met with a potential couple.

She wrote on Facebook: "Thank you to everyone for your outpouring of love and support .. sorry I haven't posted but I am beyond overwhelmed by all the responses. I will try to get through all of your messages soon. I am meeting with a potential couple to take my pups tomorrow and I will post a update. Thank you. Thank you thank you".
