Great-granny, 86, delighted as she slides down snowy hill in Ireland
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
There was severe cold weather in the UK over this weekend, but that did not stop people from going out and frolicking in the snow. A picture of a granny enjoying a sled ride in Ireland has reminded people that you are never too old to have a bit of fun!
Last week, residents of Wales and Ireland experienced a severe drop in temperatures accompanied by heavy snowfall and strong winds. The phenomenon has been called 'Storm Emma' and residents have been struggling to get to work and school.
The situation is serious but the Met Office - the UK's national weather service - has forecast a slight increase in temperatures.
In the meantime, people are making the most of the situation. The abnormal weather has certainly not stopped sledging enthusiasts from taking to the nearest hill.

One particular image of some sledging fun has made the rounds. Eileen Maguire was snapped having the time of her life on a sled steered by her grandson Jack.
The look of pure joy on Eileen's face has won the hearts of all who have seen the picture. Eileen told the BBC: "I watched them all having a great time and thought I’d give it a go – it was just spur of the moment."
Thanks to her grandson Jack, who was behind her for the whole ride, Eileen was able to join in the fun.
Deborah, Eileen's daughter-in-law, who took the picture, believes that it will encourage people to be more open-minded about what elderly people can or cannot do: "People tend to think of the elderly as feeble and this shows they are not. It’s amazing."
