Is everyone seeing things or is this pigeon a genius?
While they were out on a walk in a nearby park, Koda Inman-Ahlstrom and his girlfriend noticed something unusual. One of the brown autumn leaves on the path had a distinct etching on it that looked a lot like a pigeon. At first, the couple could not believe their eyes but then the image on the leaf became clearer: it was the face of a pigeon, "painted" on in bird droppings.

Explaining their reaction to the discovery, Inman-Ahlstrom said: "It was crusty and lumpy, like pigeon poop, so it didn’t seem like anyone painted it. It was really there. It was extremely photo-realistic."
Some Reddit users believed the picture could have been painted on, while others admired the anonymous bird's artistic talents, giving it the name "PooCaso".
How is it possible that the pigeon was able to render a perfect image of itself in this way?
Inman-Ahlstrom says someone offered to pay him $1,000 for the leaf, but unfortunately, this is not a work of art that was meant to be preserved. Over the next few days, the couple watched as the poo painting became mouldy and unrecognisable.
It seems some of nature's best art is made completely by chance.
