2015 - the inaugural year for The Sun International CEO SleepOut™ - saw prominent law firm Adams & Adams involve as many of their clients, suppliers and Partners in the call to eradicate homelessness. Think they can top their performance this year?
With a call to targeting homelessness through education, The Sun International CEO SleepOut™ is particularly unique by pushing for empathy through getting leaders from corporates and the political sphere to experience a cold night out in the open.
COO of Adams & Adams Dave Forbes knows of this approach all too well: “Adams & Adams went quite big last year and we’re in for the long haul, I think! We went quite big as a firm in terms of fundraising - not just attending and paying a set amount - and involving our clients, our suppliers and our staff and of course the Partners at Adams to dig into their pockets. What was nice though is that when you get there (on event day), everyone is pretty much on the same boat, the hierarchies fall away and people are engaging around a common issue.”
Any expectations for the evening of Thursday, the 28th of July, 2016?: “It’s gonna be cold because it’s on the Nelson Mandela Bridge and there’s nothing to protect you, there’s no buildings to hide behind you and stuff, so I’m anticipating a very cold evening!"
