Instaweb cc's Henry Craythorne sees The CEO SleepOut™ as an opportunity to encourage youth mentorship
Technical Director of Instaweb cc Henry Craythorne says his interest in The Sun International CEO SleepOut™ is linked to his passion for mentoring youth to be the persons they can be. Here's more about this remarkable leader.
Mentorship of the youth and raising potential are issues that South Africa contends with daily. Instaweb cc's Henry Craythorne therefore wants to use The CEO SleepOut™ opportunity for this: “Working with kids and working with young adults - that’s always been a big passion of mine. I’ve always been involved with Sunday School and my Mom worked with Lifeline for many years and she did a lot of training courses and I attended many of them: self-enrichment courses. I really feel there’s a need for people being exposed to the right people who can mentor them and I think in our environment especially with so many kids and young adults growing up without decent role models, especially in broken homes without good father figures and things like that. I think it’s a very important thing for us men to set an example and show our young kids and the young men of our country how they should be acting and how they should be going about their lives.”
Here's another reason why Henry is such an incredible ambassador for The CEO SleepOut™: “I was lying in my warm bed the other night and I was thinking ‘there’s these oakes sleeping out on the street now’. I’ve driven through Hillbrow in early mornings and seen the guys lying on the pavement and on the cardboard and it just popped into my head that ‘remember there’s a (The) CEO SleepOut™: I wonder when it’s coming up?’ and I thought, let me take part in it, it’s the least I can do.”
