Jacaranda FM and 1st for Women have teamed up again to host the annual Sisters with Blisters protest walk against gender based violence. Let’s walk as one and make our collective voices heard. There is strength in numbers and with that strength comes power – the power to make a difference.

Already registered? Here's what you need to know now...

If you still need to collect your pack, make your way through to the Outdoor Events Area and follow directional signage to the Outdoor Event Area.

Please ensure that you give yourself an hour prior to the walk to get parked and collect your walk number.

Bringing your furry friend?

You will receive a pooch parking voucher when you collect your walk number on the Friday. You will need to present this voucher at the designated pooch parking area on Saturday, 26 November. This parking area is situated on the open piece of land opposite Teatro Circle (1st traffic circle on Montecasino Boulevard from Witkoppen. 3rd traffic circle on Montecasino Boulevard from William Nicol) opposite the City Lodge Hotel.

Vehicles with dogs in them will not be allowed access into the standard Montecasino undercover parking.

Once parked, walkers with dogs will need to follow the signage from the Pooch parking area to the pooch holding area at the start of the walk.

Bravecto, the chew for ticks and fleas that last 12 weeks, will be looking after your pooches on the day

There will be a pooch holding area on the field for all walkers with dogs. Your start time is at 08h15. This is a dedicated start for walkers with dogs. Please ensure that if you are walking with a pooch you start in the second group.

There will be water available at all the human water points for your best friend.

Please ensure that dogs are kept on leads at all times and bring a poop bag to clean up after your pets.

We strongly recommend that walkers with dogs collect their walk numbers on the Friday to avoid walking around Montecasino to access the Outdoor Event Area on the Saturday morning to collect them.

There will be a finish water point on the Outdoor Events Area for your pooches.
