As a leader in the mining sector, JP Arora of JIC Mining Services explains the importance of participating in The Sun International CEO SleepOut™: “This is for a vulnerable cause and it’s for education. If I remember the words of Nelson Mandela ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’ and I think nothing can be a better cause than this one.”
JP expands further on the importance of this initiative: “It is our duty to give back to society for which we are now where we are.”
JP is the CEO of Westdawn Investments (Pty) Ltd trading as JIC Mining Services, a contract mining company specialized in underground mining and mechanized trackless mining in the platinum, gold and chrome sector.
The company is located in Midrand, Johannesburg. JP holds a Science degree from the C.C.S University in India. After graduating, he joined the banking sector, later moving on to on he moved to engineering and starting the manufacturing of specialised trackless mining equipment, Mantis drill rig and Warthog.
JP subsequently moved to the mining industry to his current position now at JIC Mining Services.
