Civil society organisations, under the banner Unite Against Corruption, have launched a campaign to remove President Jacob Zuma. The alliance of civil society, trade union and academic and religious organisations on Wednesday outlined their plan of action against what they have labelled the growing political and economic crisis in South Africa. Former intelligence minister Ronnie Kasrils, former deputy president of the ANC Youth League Ronald Lamola as well as ANC veteran Cheryl Carolus as well as former Constitutional Court judge, Zak Yacoob were among those who spoke out against Zuma.
